Matting Agent

iSuoChem® matting agent is a silica (SiO2) powder that creates a tiny, rough texture on the coating surface to scatter light (diffuse reflection). It is used to control the gloss and transparency of various coatings and inks.

It primarily solves problems such as excessive gloss, uneven matte finish, whitening/reduced transparency of the paint film after addition, difficulty in dispersion, or impact on the physical properties of the paint film (such as scratch resistance).

Matting agent contains high-quality silicon dioxide powders with special organic treatment (Such as iSuoChem M-AT206). It has excellent water-mixing ability and works well with resins. The product's refractive index is close to that of the resin, effectively removes gloss without affecting the transparency or strength of the paint film. It is widely used in wood, metal, and plastic coatings and inks, creating a matte effect while enhancing the surface's scratch resistance and anti-blocking properties.
